Chip Plankton is a supporting character in SpongeBob SquarePants: Undersea Adventures. He is the son of Plankton and Karen and brother of Raisin.
Appearance[]
Chip is a light-blue adding machine-like robot with small silver limbs. From the top of his head is a roll of paper, which is used for adding. He has a lighter blue keypad, a black screen with green digital "eyes" displayed on it. He has a small red button on the right side of his head.
Personality[]
Chip is rather playful and carefree, as for a typical young child. He is shown to love games, especially when it's with his family. He is rather intelligent, as seen by his grades. He is also rather carrying, almost always unlike his father.
History[]
Chip was born to Sheldon and Karen Plankton via delivery from a drone. Initially, his father wanted nothing to do with him, but after a while, grew to love him. He also had a younger brother, Raisin, who he was fond of.
Role in Series[]
Season 1[]
The Raisin[]
Chip is first seen playing with his mother when his father called the latter in to show her something. Chip is instructed to wait outside as it was dangerous, which he complies by. Chip then comes in from hearing an "explosion" which was revealed to be an accidental success of his new brother, Raisin. The family takes a trip to Jellyfish fields where Chip is seen flying a kite. Chip spots Raisin being attacked by jellyfish, and brings this to his father's attention, who manages to save him. That night, while Plankton and Karen tucked him in, Chip asks his parents to tell Raisin he said goodnight.
Heroic Heroes of the Deep[]
Chip appears in a photograph when Plankton is deciding whether or not to give up the formula.
SpongeBob the Musical[]
Chip is seen arriving with his parents and brother at the evacuation, though when it is revealed that the escape pod could not be afforded, he became scarred. Chip later appears during the celebration of the saving of Bikini Bottom.
Season 2[]
Haunting Under the Sea[]
Chip is seen in a clown costume with a trick or treat bag as Karen prepares to take him and Raisin trick or treating.
Babysittin'[]
Chip is first seen watching a tv show with Raisin while Plankton and Karen prepare for datenight and tell them to be good for the babysitter. Though when the babysitter canceled, Chip and Raisin would then be babysat by SpongeBob and Patrick. When SpongeBob and Patrick ask Chip and Raisin what they want to do, they take a set of building blocks and build a prison cell around SpongeBob and Patrick. After this, the children become hungry and are taken to the kitchen where Chip eats his batteries and remarks that double A's are his favorite. When SpongeBob has difficulty feeding Raisin, Chip tells him he must pretend the spoon is a train. When it is time for bed, Chip tells SpongeBob that Raisin will not go to sleep unless he hears the song that Karen plays, at this SpongeBob takes Chip to find the copy while Patrick watches Raisin. In the lab, Chip manages to find the song while SpongeBob mistakes Spot for a monster. Unfortunately, Patrick had zoned out and allowed Raisin to escape through a window. Chip then goes with SpongeBob and Patrick to save Raisin and while SpongeBob and Patrick were harmed in the process, Chip managed to save his brother and bring him back to the Chum Bucket. Chip is last seen falling asleep as his parents return from date night.
Wish You a Spongy Christmas[]
Chip appears decorating a Christmas tree as his parents come home, to which he and Raisin are excited about. Chip is then seen on Christmas morning opening a present with his family, which turned out to be a box set.
Birthday Flake[]
Chip is first seen with Plankton telling him the story of the long-standing rivalry between the Krabs Family and the Plankton Family. Later he is with Karen wrapping a present for Raisin's first birthday which prompts Plankton to leave and buy a present. He is last seen at the birthday party where he goes with his brother into the playhouse that their father made.
One Last Stand[]
Chip briefly appears when the Chum Bucket is attacked by jellyfish and he and Raisin are grabbed by Karen as they flee.

Plankton and Karen[]
Plankton and Karen are Chip's parents, who raise and care for him. He seems to enjoy spending time with them, as seen by how he never says no to spending time with them.
Raisin[]
Raisin is Chip's younger brother, who he loves very much. He seems to want to look out for his older brother.
Abilities[]
Intelligence: As seen by his report card, Chip is highly intelligent as he always gets straight A's.
Trivia[]
- Unlike is official series counterpart, this version of Chip is still a child and in his adding-machine form.
- This was because the author wanted to give Plankton a family.
- Chip is similar to Pearl, as both take after their mothers.
- He seems to be a fan of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, as he has their posters on his bedroom wall.
