This is the fifth season of Cult of Squid.
Production
On December 14th, 2019, a fifth season of Cult of Squid was announced by Purple133. It was also announced that this season would have a total of 15 episodes. On March 5th, 2020, it was announced that this season would continue the main story arc started in the previous season. On April 24th, 2020, the first two episode titles for this season were announced: "The Devil You Know" and "Domination!" On May 4th, the third and fourth episode titles were announced: "Sneak Attack" and "Zomped Twice". On June 5th, the fifth episode title was announced: "Squidward vs the Forces of Evil". It was also announced that this would be a special. On July 2nd, three more episode titles were revealed, and the following day the plots for the first four episodes were also revealed.
This season saw DanzxvFan8275 guest write for the show for the first time, as well as seeing TheJasbre202 to help write stories and direct some episodes.
