The two-hundred-eighty-fourth season of SpongeBob Fanon premiered on September 3, 2348 and ended on April 1, 2349. It consists of 31 episodes (59 segments), and 1 movie. The executive producer/showrunner for this season was Jyappeul. The season received generally mixed reviews.

Reviews[]
- CommanderNemex: Whoa, that went fast. Some episodes, like GIFfany Returns, BM-Ware, and the movie are good, awesome even. While my episodes, Forest's, Erik's, Jelly's, and Grapey's were decent, Donald's episodes are horrible. 5/10.
- Grapey Works: The solidly directed yet frustrating Season 284 is filled to the brim with poorly-thought out blunders, and while the good episodes are good, debatably better than the previous season’s, it doesn’t make up for all the misfires caused by a lack of effort. Seems like the next “cries like a baby” is on the rise… Because, well, you know. 5/10
- Koopsers Joopsers (M•C•U•E)
: Bad season. All of the plots are recycled from each other. There are some standouts, however (We Be Pirates), but these episodes are mixed in with really lazy ones (Hey! That's my cookie-eating hat!), and the rest is mediocre. 4.8/10. (I thought Donald's episodes were good, that's pretty harsh) - Primitive Star: Overhated season, I wasn't that big a fan of Donald's episodes but the rest of the season is solid. 6.5/10
