Season 3 of Life in Bikini Bottom was announced on September 21, 2017, and confirmed in 2019. It continues off of the Season 2 finale "Pfff... Welp," going along the Bikini Bottom fascist government story arc. It premiered on June 19, 2020, with "Leader Bastard" and ended on August 11, 2023 with "An Irregular Epic Final Dick Measuring Contest, Part II". It consists of 16 episodes.

Meanwhile, among concerns with the coronavirus, the US moves their 2020 Presidential Election to Bikini Bottom.

Meanwhile, Fatprick and Assy start dating, much to the dismay of SpongeCock.
