The first season of fanon episodes started on October 6, 2014 with "Shadow" and ended on December 1, 2015 with "Evil Ruler". It is to date, the most popular fanon season made. The episode with the least viewers is still currently "Kenny and Jenny", which aired after SquarePants Family Reunion. This season was directed entirely by Wumbo Combo.
The season had one TV movie entitled Square Pants Family Reunion and 5 specials entitled "Shadow", "Spotlight Sponge", "Zone of the Clarinets", "Ed of the World", "The Stupid Duo", and "Evil Ruler". However all specials except Evil Ruler were under 25 minutes.
Season one released on home media on March 14, 2022 as SpongeBob SquarePants Fanon: The Complete First Season.
Season one finished all of the links and episodes on December 13, 2022.
