The Communist Party of Bikini Bottom (CPABB) is a political party founded by Squidward Q. Tentacles on October 21, 2001. Squidward founded the party after being fed up with the terrible working conditions at the Krusty Krab.

History[]
The party was founded on October 22, 2001, after Squidward got fed up with the terrible work conditions of The Krusty Krab and how Mr. Krabs was exploiting the works of the laborers of Bikini Bottom. He and SpongeBob went on strike, but they shortly got fired, making Squidward give a speech telling the Bottomites that they will "dismantle oppression, board by board."
Initially, the party was ignored by most citizens as they just decided to eat more Krabby Patties after Squidward's first speech. However, despite numerous failed attempts, Squidward kept trying to get the townsfolk interested in his anti-establishment views.
One day, the Bikini Bottom Communist Party had its big break when the Shelly Super Highway was gonna be constructed all across every town from New Kelp City to Anchovy Bottom to Bikini Bottom and through Rock Bottom, as a way to better connect the cities together. However, it also meant destroying Jellyfish Fields. This made Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Seastar unhappy, so they decided to campaign on saving Jellyfish Fields. This was however made illegal, because of the city approving of it, thanks to the power of the wealthy Eugene Harold Krabs and his rival Sheldon Plankton being the ones who came up with the idea of the highway. And Spongebob and Patrick were arrested because of it and they were sent to the edge of nowhere.
This angered Squidward Tentacles and he began recruiting many new members to his Communist Party and quit his job at the Krusty Krab, he finally saw success as he appointed new members to the CPBB. First was Tony, who other than being first, wasn't that crucial to the party. He also appointed Robbie Rotten, who was made his receptionist and was also his right-hand man, leading his People's Liberation Front as their general.
More and more Bikini Bottomites joined, including but not limited to Sandy Cheeks, Fred Rechid, Gary the Snail, and Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. The Bikini Bottom Police Department freaked out and asked Plankton for aid, which he accepted without hesitation, and they quickly militarized, and announced that all Communist Party members would be arrested by a bounty of at least $10,000 for their heads.
General Rotten ordered Sandy Cheeks and Fred Rechid to build new weapons for the PLF to match the strength of the now militarized BBPD, and they created tanks, planes, guns, and many other weapons to match the strength of the BBPD. They moved over to Jellyfish Fields to set up a defensive position, and they dug trenches to defend it.
The Park Ranger asked them what they were doing here, but General Rotten explained that they were protecting Jellyfish Fields from evil industrialists, which changed the Park Ranger's mind and he joined their cause and led alongside General Rotten as Colonel. The battle of Jellyfish Fields was a stalemate for a while until General Rotten advised them to fix bayonets. It worked, and within days began to quickly take more and more of Bikini Bottom.
They looted every single home of the top 1%, especially Squilliam Fancypants' home. All of those who lost their homes were brutally executed by the PLF, and they finally got to City Hall, and everyone in the Government resign and then deported to Rock Bottom unless they were at least somewhat sympathetic to Squidward's cause. Spongebob and Patrick returned to Bikini Bottom after hearing the news and begged for jobs in the Communist Party now governing Bikini Bottom, Squidward reluctantly agreed and made Spongebob the General Secretary, and Patrick one of his bodyguards.
All private industries were now publicized, as the Krusty Krab was made a public-owned restaurant, and they made decent against the CPBB illegal and many were thrown into the gulag because of it. In response, a Bikini Bottomite made an attempt on Squidward's life, and though it failed, more enemies of the CPBB were thrown in the gulags.
After five years of Squidward's rule over the city, and fending off against foreign invaders in the process, the stress of his rule made him fatally ill, and he died on that December. Everybody assumed Robbie Rotten would succeed him, he was a great public speaker and he helped win the Bikini Bottom Revolution. The last person anyone expected to take over was General Secretary Spongebob Squarepants, he wasn't a great intellectual like Squidward, or a charismatic war hero like Rotten. He was, as Fred Rechid described him as a gray blur who operated in the background, who nobody, not even Tony noticed. But that was how Spongebob would rise to power.
Spongebob was made General Secretary for the Communist Party, as said earlier, because of Squidward's disdain for him. It wasn't the job he hoped for, but he quickly realized that while it wasn't fancy, it was a powerful position. As General Secretary, he had the power to give people jobs within the party, the first was of course his best friend Patrick Seastar. And though Squidward's dying wish was for anyone but Spongebob to become the new leader of the CPBB, it was too little too late to fight it, as he was already dead.
When Spongebob became the new leader of the CPBB, he had Defense Minister Robbie Rotten banished to New Kelp City, and replaced him with Patrick Seastar. Instead of having a state funeral for Squidward Q. Tentacles, he mummified him and put him on display in the Revolutionary Museum for all Bikini Bottomites to see.
Spongebob lived in infamy as the deadliest dictator in Bikini Atoll History, as 20% of the population died under his rule. And he renovated Squidward's gulags, leading to even more political prisoners being sent there under his rule.
